Despite the massive recalls that have hit Toyota lately, sales were significantly raised in the US and Japan terminal month. Toyota had been quick to offer newborn schemes and incentives, including interest-free loans and discount leases at the peak of the recall crisis.As a result, Toyota recorded a 41% increase in US sales year-on-year from 132,802 to 186,863. Meanwhile, Asian sales accumulated by 51%. Don Esmond, senior vice chair of automotive operations for Toyota Motor Sales, USA, said that the brawny sales action terminal month is a reflection of its customers’ continued confidence in the safety and reliability of its vehicles and their trust in the brand. Toyota may have plenty to experience about when it comes to sales but the US Department of Transportation is dignified a $16.3m fine on the company for its unfortunate to inform regulators about the gun problems sooner. This figure is the maximum fine allowed for a recall offense. The agency claims that Toyota waited for threesome months after learning about the imperfectness before acting on it. Toyota has not still announced if it will agree to the fine or disagreement it.
