Subaru showcased a new version of the Impreza WRX at the New York Auto Show, a wider-body model based on the standard 2011 Impreza WRX STI, which was also revealed today.
The new car presents a more battleful looks at the exterior due to wider face and rear tracks-with 38mm compared to the original model-and has lots of slight styling updates to the face wings, bumpers and wheel arches. Other features include a new face splitter, blacked-out atmosphere lamps and headlights. The new version is powered by a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine, capable of 261bhp. The new Impreza WRX will intend the green light for sales in the US at the beginning of the summer and will be available in two versions- a 4-door saloon and a 5-door hatch.
