Citing a problem with steering column, General Motors announced the recall of 40,028 2005 and 2006 Corvette model year. The recall involves vehicles manufactured between March 2004 and January 2006, which have a tilt / telescoping steering column. If you have a Corvette, you can check the date of production written on a sticker on the driver's door or jamb. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said the frequent movement of the steering column can cause an interruption of the signal in the column. This opens a screen that says: "Service Active Handling System." This may give rise to one or more brakes being applied, which could cause the vehicle to pull to the right or left. If the driver is unable to correct the movement of the vehicle, could be a risk of actual accidents. Car owners are advised to go to the Corvette dealership to get their cars fixed for free.
